..wow now that's a lot for 250r kit with the wrong cable and wrong chrome guide thing........i'm even tempted to sell my nos 250r kit for that!!!!!!

Hey, you won that 250r kit, right? You do know that chrome loop peice is for a 250es right? And I think even the little black clamp is wrong. And that gearbox looks more like a 200x one...

The gearbox is the correct one and the seal is too. The cable clamp fits and the cable is right.

sorry dude.....yep the gearbox looks right but until you get it you won't know which way it turns......the seals right and cable clamp looks good too but the cable is not the 85/86 speedo cable (check photo) as you can see it different....nut on speedo end of cable plus it's not long enough...and there's a rubber linning running down most of the cable to stop the rubbing.. the number ha2-870 is marked on the cable....the one in your kit looks like a 110 or 200e.....

I had emailed the seller and asked for the lenth he told me it was 32"... that's about the right lenth for a 250r but it's not a 200e one they are about 26". It's probably just some random 32" Honda cable.

Yep it must be a random....200x is 31" but the 85/86R is 34" and those 2" will make all the difference when hitting jumps.....

Well... that's not even a 250R kit. If anything, the chrome bracket looks to be Big Red. I traded the guy a NOS complete 250R kit, so he should know that that is NOT an 85-86R kit!

He said in his listing he was including "other" speedo stuff he had no clue as to what they are. And in another sentence he said it was NOT a complete kit.

He still got a butt load of money for that sH*@!

This auction is only for a speedo gear box that I believe will fit the 85 & 86 Honda ATC 250R. I will also include some misc. speedo kit parts.(see picture) I have NO clue what models they are for. All items appear to be new, but I do not know for sure. This is NOT a complete set. If you have any questions PLEASE ask before bidding.

It sure wouldn't be too nice if that gearbox turned out to be for a 200x!

What about using the gearbox from a Hondaline Tripmeter Kit? Wouldn't it also work? Don't the tripmeters and speedos turn the same direction?
