Why did Yamaha never make a 225cc sport trike?

I love my 225DX; it's a blast to ride. But it makes me wonder why that excellent powerplant (with chain drive) never made it into a true sport trike? I'd think it would have walked all over a 200x. So why didn't it happen?
It ain't no fun unless you kin git hurt doin it.
    Rides: YTM-225DX, 2x YTM-175, KLT-160, ATC-125M, ATC-250SX, ATC-200x, ATC-200E

I dont think the mass public would be interested in the engine from the DX or even DR into a real sport chassis (jsut because it came from an SUV in the 1st place). Similar to what Honda went for with the 250EX...only a bit differant.

Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine other than sales. ATV engines are nothing but differantly tuned old motorcycle engines with a few small changes (with the exceoption of many Polaris' and a few automatic ATV's).Theres dozens upon dozens of cycle engines...unfortunently we cant see everyone in the chassis we'd like
