    200x Fouling Plugs

I jus picked up a 1986 200X from a friend of mine for a rediclous (sp?) trade. I traded an xbox, 2 games and 2 controllers for this baby. Now to the point, It has been sitting for about 3 months and when he put it away it ran. Now i cannot get it to run worth a ****. I took the carb off and cleaned it. Still fouled plug. Someone told me it could be a bad ring and there could be excessive blow-by. Im not a 4 stroke genius(2-strokes are my specialty) would replacing the rings on one of these beasts be hard? What do i do about timing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Is it oil fouled?

I would do a compression check to before you start ripping anything apart. It could be just running very rich.

I would bet you are running very rich. But to do a compression test, you need a compression tester, you screw it in you spark plug hole and crank the motor over a few times.

Then it is probably running really rich, that would be my guess.

Now that i have a better look at it.... i took the carb completley off and cleaned it... all the jets are clear. When i kick it over it shoots fuel out of one of the vents in the bell of the carb. Could my timing be off and it is juss using the compression to blow fuel through it? Also it makes an air noise from the carb when i kick it over. And it gets perfect spark. BTW i was mistaken... its an 84 not an 86.

do the floats actually float? Mine didn't and that seemed to be the problem go test that out.
