I too have a question on shifting. I was at the airshow today and tested out the Kawasaki 400. when it was turned off i could only shift it into two gears. Is this normal? Seems to be the same way on my 200x but on my mates 300ex i can shift into any gear i want! Is this bad?

If you rock the bike it back and fourth it will pop into the gear you want. I have yet to see a bike that dosnt do that.
