I never had something so hard to start. If I try to kick start it I'll kick all day with a couple of back fires. If I tow it behind something it starts right up but it will not idel I took the carb off about 12 times rebuilt it my self and sent it out to someone else to rebuild it is clean. but the diapram on the top of the carb has a small tear on the out side of the seal not anything to worry about as far as i can tell I put a little slicone on it any way.

Is the choke cable sticking? How does it run once it's running? I have an 87 mojave that i raced desert on for years and it always started well but won't start at all now. It is on the back burner right now. I think the ignitions are prone to going bad.
