    Air cooled 250r dimensions

Ok 2 questions. First, what year has a smaller engine and what are its dimensions(LxWxH)? I'm thinking about putting one in my 200x and would like to know just how much modding I need to do to make it fit.

you would be better off with a xr250 or some sort of other 4 stroke in the 200x chasis, basicaly any of the small honda vertical engines will fit, some with a little mods and others will bolt directly in. just have to use your imagination.

Ummm... aircooled R motors have the chain on the right side.... unlike a 200X with the chain on the left side. Not sure if you can "flip" the axle or swinger 180º or not.

The 81-84 air cooled R engines have the same dimensions, the only real difference is the color and the length of the shifter shaft.

I see. I was thinking the 81 and 82 R's were right side and in 83 on they switched sides.

I was thinking that an air cooled would be easier since I wouldnt have to reroute the radiator lines, so If I can just flip the axel and find a cheap engine I'll do an air cooled.
