Feeling sorta like the southwest airlines commercial---Wanna Get Away?
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

A customer walked in to my shop and Impatiently stated "My car doesnt start, Whats the problem?"I responded with a smile-"Yep that sounds like your problem alright"----

I don't think you are the first to drop something down into the motor.

I dropped a timing chain sproctet bolt down into a motor once. I can't remember what motor but I ended up pulling it and shaking the bolt out.
When ever I have that area of the motor open ,,, I do what all manuals say to do ,,, cover the opening with something.
I think this could be a very good thread starter of a quiston.

Yea, it sucks dropping stuff in the motor, I just was finishing putting my top end together on my ytm200 and i was going to put the dowel in the cylinder bolt hole, but I dropped it, it somehow got by the cloth that i had stuck in the timing chain slot, and landed behind the flywheel. I had to pull the flywheel and dig it out of there, cost me another hour or so, by the time I got the puller from the shop.
But anyways, this is way off topic. I hope you get it out of there YTMBOY

i've dropped the locating ping for the spark advance down into a bottom end..

Came right out when i drained the oil tho.. phew....

don't freak.. it happens.. if it can be built.. it can be taken apart. It's not a bottomless black hole.. just take your time and get it done.

I have had them come in this way, and I have done more than my share of dropping parts into the motor. The worst ones is when you drop a cir-clip for the piston into the bottom of the motor. I have done this a few times, each time I could make a old Biker dude blush.

Carbs don't usually die.. or wear out.. the parts inside it do tho.

Get a rebuild kit ! cheap, and works well.

Yes carb. kits are cheap, BUT they don't sell them for the Yamaha 4 stroke trikes (sucks doesn't it).

    *EDIT*
OK, I have been doing some research and it looks like you can get a carb. kit for the 92-98 Timberwolf YFB 250. NOT all the parts are the same but according to the Yamaha part numbers the Needle valve, pilot screw and jet holder are the same but the main jet, throttle screw, and pilot jet are different. I have not bought a Timberwolf kit so I don't know exactly come in it.

You can get a Moose brand carb. kit for $19.95 and use the needle valve from that or get a Yamaha needle valve for $33.01. But DO NOT USE THE JETS FROM THE TIMBERWOLF KIT THEY ARE DIFFERENT!
