83 185s recoil kit

I just bought a recoil kit for my wheeler as it was missing every piece of it when i got it, and i thought i saw an old thread that had pictures on how to replace your recoil, but i couldn't find it so i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a thread that explains it with pics, or if they have any light on the topic of setting up the recoil..... i have only the rod that sticks out into the engine casing nothing else. thanks
