Yamaha describes some nonsense about an 18 inch piece of wood ground down at the edges and a big----Grab a cup of coffee and a donut and go to the nearest auto tire shop- They can pop the beads in 10 seconds flat.
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.
A customer walked in to my shop and Impatiently stated "My car doesnt start, Whats the problem?"I responded with a smile-"Yep that sounds like your problem alright"----
Not clear on what you want to put them on but guess that doesn't matter?Originally Posted by trimoto55
To answer your main ? I break the beads (got info off here) by running over the tire with my truck!
You line up the front wheel of your vehicle as close as possible to the edge of the trike wheel and as you go forward you turn the wheel to go with the arc of the trike wheel. Use some WD-40 on it also. Some poped off with 2-3 tries of going back and fourth while others took 5,6,7,8 tries but it NEVER failed me yet! Flip it around and do the other side then. will work better if you have a freind to "spot" for you.
I have 31X10.50X15 on my Toyota 4 runner and that size works quite well with it having a fairly beefy sidewall. Skinnier the sidewall the more chance you have of dinging up your vehichle wheel if it rubs the trike wheel so watchout for this!
The best and easiest is do the "coffee-donut" wait method liie Unclediezel says if you have a tire dealer close by. I just had to try it this way (above) though to see if it works. I change them myself now all together as it gets expensive if your doing a few here and there all the time.

I used my truck also but use a car ramp on atc tire. Place the ramp on the tire close to rim. And drive up ramp. Better on sidewalls but might not work for every truck because the ramp comes close to hitting the front bumper on my dakota with 31" , so keep an eye on that.
this is how i did my tires it took three guys to break on bead on the orginal tires!
You can use such missisipi 2x4 technology or just quit being a tightwad and go to a tire shop. That way it will be easier to split your wheel too if you have that kind. Mine were pretty well glued together. Then they leaked when I put them back together after I got them split to remove the tire.

So many idiots that can't ride a motorcycle, so few hours to put my boot in their seat!
Myeh heh heh heh heh!!!
I agree. I've tried to do it myself... Eventually I cut them off. what a pain! Take them to the shop. It's only a couple bucks.
if you use the truck idea, use something bigger than a s-10.
Oh --man-----HAHAHAHAHAHA-----
You guys are a piss!!!!!!!---- Just one more thing----When you go into the tire shop---Dont let anyone "SPIN " your wheels on----They are 2 piece wheels that were designed to be split to mount the tire. I bought my tires from a tire shop --so when they offered to mount them for free----Sure-- Why not?---Aside from the scratches in my wheels--all three of them went sailing when they tried to spin the Tires on.
