    tHIS GUY IS ON DRUGS.

    I am in to old honda quads mid 80's to early 90's This guy down the street is trying to get 1000 cash for a 1984 trx 200. This thing has no dash componets, no functioning breaks, 2 bald tires, fenders a desrtroyed, front end shakes very bad and it hit a tree doing about 30 and twisted the front. And i dont even know if it runs. It's been sitting there since summer. I want it because i grew up with one and lost it to a fire.

    I just did work on 1 a few months back. The bill was around $600.00 for the work and parts. I did not even think they were worth that much!!!

    there not worth that much. lucky if you can get $1400 for a nice one. but a $1000 for a quad thats gonna need over a $1000 in work, tell him to keep it. i bought a 87 trx200sx awhile back for $500. just needed front tires and some other small stuff. but it ran and you could drive it the way it was.

    nope.. the TRX 200 started in 84..

    I have the motor from one of them..... well .. parts of a motor ! lol..
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    blue book means nothing for quads... if so every 85 250R would be worth $11....

    now... if you have one you'd be willing to sell for $11 lemme know.. i'll take 30 of em... j/k

    Wow, a TRX 200 for 1000 bucks? My friend bought one for 40, and the engine worked in that one, it just needed a new rear diff.

    The TRX 200 came out in 1984, it was a ******* year machine. It had all the basic drivetrain components of the 1984 BigRed. In 1985 the 200SX replaced it. A welcome swap in my opinion. Oh and a grand sounds just a bit over the top.......

    edog, the TRX200 has the most retarded speed selector ever. It looks like a tumor on the left side of the engine, and theres a knob that you pull up, then slide back and forth. It lets you select High, Low and Reverse. Total crap, however, cause its always getting jammed and stuck and whatnot.

    Man, im coming down where you guys live. If he is asking that much for a quad that needs 1000$ worth of work and I have a tri_moto 125 that just needs a tune up that im selling for 400$ i reccon I can get $4000 for it down there. lol
