    350x front fork question/ 400ex carb Q

Hey everyone, I just picked up an 85 350x last week for $700! It's my first trike since I was twelve- and I'm 27 now. Anyhow I bought a service manual for it, but it hasn't arrived yet. On my front fork the axle is supposed to screw into the fork from left to right? I can't beleive it ever did because there are no threads in the fork at all. The axle has so much wiggle room it almost doesn't seem to have ever fit. Has this ever happened to any of you? Only fix is to replace that fork, I guess? Also I bought a 400ex carb and just wanted an opinion again on jetting. The bike has a cobra exhaust and open airbox. I was thinking about a 140/142 main and 42 pilot?
    Thanks

Welcome to the board Take a couple pics of your fronted. I'm sure we can tell you if you have the correct stuff on there. Sometimes people hodgepodge stuff together. Your front end should be tight.
