I don't like these style brush guards for tight trail riding.. If you clip a tree with the end of the handle bar those wont keep your fingers from getting smashed. Last week woke me up to this fact. I'm looking at Acerbis bark busters. The honda ones do definatly LOOK good though.

If you want some protectors get the metal ones that actually keep your hand safe. My buddy has some on his yamaha dirt bike.

Because they didn't come on trikes so that would be defeating the purpose of a restoration. There are a few who have them one their trail bikes, I have been thinking about getting a pair for my yami.

However, Yamaha DID make brush handguards for trikes!

Yeah I had a pair on my last Yami. The thing I didn't like about those is they don't protect against brush and prickers.

I've got Moose handguards on the T3, they rock! Full aluminum guard and a plastic cover. A lot of my sled riding buddies have the single mount style and say after one roll they are toast and need a new set, not very durable at all.

I got a pair of those on my 2000 XR100R. Says honda on them. Every bike I get I'm going to buy a pair. Can't go trail riding without them. Theres nothing riding in 30 degree weather doing 40mph and getting whipped with a branch. Oh man does that hurt.
