    Atc 70

How hard is it to change the rings and piston on a 85 honda atc 70. What all is involved? I have a book, just wondering if I should have a shop do it or learn myself. Thanks

Take her slow, if ya got a book that will help alot. Learn yourself, I used to go to a shop and payed through the.... for it. I do all my own work now, and if you have questions, we have answers.

Hey, Changing the pistopn and rings on a 70 is easy peasy really, just make sure as you take it apart you record and photo everything, I could probably change a piston and rings in about 30 mins ive done it so many time dont worry just remember how it came apart and reverse the steps. If you get stuck were here to help and i will be happy to post some more detail.

Make sure you have a good torque wrench. It always seemed to me the hardest part of putting them back together was in getting the cam timing right.
