    Yamaha 225 DR/DX exhaust??

I am currently attempting to build up my Yamaha 225DX. But ran into a problem. The exhaust header was rusted through, so I pitched it thinking that a replacement was easy to find. But it seems that i was wrong. Or was I? Are the Yamaha headers pretty standard on all their lines??

Or should I shell out the coin and buy an aftermarket exhaust?? I was hoping to make it look stock, so flashy polished pieces are out of the question.

The engine I am using came out of my 225DR, which for the most part had to be junked because it was overrun with rust (hard to believe being it was in Arizona all it's life), and the engine from the DX was wasted.

Also, on a side note. Where is the site rules page?? And is there a thread for which all the noobs can check in and get a feel for the place?? Or is it a jump in the mix mentality?

    Welcome to the board---

Im guessing El Pollo- Refers to your Fire-Chicken?
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

A customer walked in to my shop and Impatiently stated "My car doesnt start, Whats the problem?"I responded with a smile-"Yep that sounds like your problem alright"----

You will shell out coin for anything you buy.I would go for the aftermarket Cobra exguast from www.denniskirk.com.

Thanks for the link. I tried it, but my connection must be bad because it wasn't loading. I'll try it again later.

And yes, "el Pollo" has to do with my Firechicken. I have two actually, so the name stuck.

And today I managed to unload "Junk", my 225DX (That's the name my wife gave it) out of my truck and put it next to my Bear Tracker and "Cujo", the Honda 185S (It has put two people in the hospital and wrecked a car).

And thanks again for welcoming me to the forums!! I'm sure I'll stay a while.
