my new 350x's & Big Red

Ok mabey it's not new. Just new to my collection. I was told the motor was bored out not to long ago. The only real problem is the decrompression doesn't work & it needs brakes. The other one needs a top end. I have been looking for one of these for awhile. I'm not sure what's up with the board on the back on the one. The only thing I can think is may kids used it to dive off of. lol I got a deal too only $600 for every thing.

I got a question too. Why would it be harder to start when it has ran for awhile?

The Big Red is a '83. I wish it was a 84. Would be nice to have reverse. The tires on it were like new. I all ready took those off & put them on my 200m. It also had a Honda trip meter on it. It needs a new cable though. I was told that the wrist pin ass. was bad & the carnk needs to be replaced. I hope it's just the pin bearing. I'll find out when I get in to it. Other than the seat it's not in to bad of shape. Oh ya watch out for my dog she is the best racer around. You can tell by the way she puts her ears back for air flow.

The 350X's are notorious for being hard to start once warm. That 350X looks really good probably worth #1200-$1300 in my books. Nice steal!

That Big Red is classic, no need to do a thing to it if it's running...they'll smoke for ten-fifteen years before they go.

Well that's just not right that they are harder to start when warm. It should be the opposite. I know it will start in 1 or 2 kicks when cold, but when warm I can wear my self out. They other day at my Mother in law's I killed it & ended up walking back to the house since it did not want to start. Then when I went back with the 125m(ol relabile)(sp?) to pull start it & the darn thing stared on the first kick.

I have not messed with big red much yet. I turned it over & checked for spark & it was there. But I have not had it running yet. I plan on working on that one next. I'm not sure though if I will keep it. It's between the Big Red & a 200m. I got to much stuff according to my lady & Mother in law. I have filled the in law's barn with a bunch a atc's. So with a new one I may have to get rid of some thing else. But I hate to get rid of one cause it won't be to long before they are even harder to get.
