    tri moto 175 with clutch

I found a tri moto 175 for sale. The guy tells me its a old race bike and has 5 speed manuel clutch yamaha engine in it with some port work.
My question is what type of engine mite be in this ?

He might be talking about a 1985 Yamaha Tri-Z, the 175 are auto clutch. I am guessing if its a old race bike its a Tri-Z. Hope this helps!

I went and checked it out its missing the head and has been sitting outside for awhile also missing the kickstart lever I offered him $75 for it. oh yeah and it has no plastic so I will see if he calls me back

Sounds like someone bolted up an old bike motor-- I may be wrong --but Only the Tri-Z's came with a manual cltch---Every thing else(Yammi trikes) is a centrifugal Auto clutch.
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

A customer walked in to my shop and Impatiently stated "My car doesnt start, Whats the problem?"I responded with a smile-"Yep that sounds like your problem alright"----

Yes but they did make an IT 175...early year bike easily confused with the YZ...more than likely.
