    Current progress on the 500

Some peeps were asking about it so i figured I'd post a recent picture. It looks alot better when the suspension is compressed etc etc. And its still far from done, it'll look alot better when the rear fenders have been trimed up front and the powder coating done and the air box mounted, the forks polished...ok so the list goes on forever......

The seat cover is in progress and the foam still needs some triming. Theres a teeshirt wrapped around it in the picture. blah. lots more work to do. The deadline, trikefest 06. Anyone wanna buy a kidney? I need some undisclosed funds...lol.

Nice looking. I can't wait to see it when it is done. What are you planning on powder coating? And what are you going to do with the seat? Like what color?

Seat and fork boots are gonna be black. I'm also cooking up some black accent decals for the white plastic. Also thinking about black hand gaurds.
Frame and subframe are getting powdered a single color, either silver or fighting red I cant decide. Pegs and other odds & ends will also get powdered.

This is so never gonna be finished. I'm seriously thinking about a few things, the decompression mod from ebay, billet ignition cover, updated clutch cover.
And then the inverted forks like Billys, mainly to set the front end down some. Its still so high even when the suspension is compressed. It'll work out eventually but it will be at minimum presentable and ridable by TF06.

Dang thats lookin good Louis! I had always been curious how you were gonna work out the seat/fender/tank arrangement but its turning out really really well so far. I'm sure it'll look factory when you get done.

I dont mind if you make a trike with inverted front forks, but dont steal my tripple clamp design (that i stole from Laegers)

Nice machine Louis! I'm building a ATC500R as well, but with Sabertooth engine components and custom fabrication on the chassis. It's good to hear you'll be at TF-'06, as will I and it would be fun to line them up at the drags!!

    Good luck with your project!

Not a problem dude. I'll steal if from someone else....lol..No what I'm really hoping to do is get Mr. Cart to punch a set out with the EDM wire machine. He's been kinda busy lately though so I don't know how thats gonna go. Maybe with enough beer.....lol..Hey billy you wouldn't be interested in welding up an aluminum air box for me? We can talkon details/compensation if your interested.

I am building up a CR 480 motor (they were built for 2 years, this ones a 4 speed, tons of torque) I am using a 1982(3?) ATC 250R frame, swingarm, forks, axle and seat. I am having custom rear fenders and front fender (well, shaved EXCESSIVLEY) with dune tires on the rear and a mohawk or knobby on the front.

trikefest 06, probaly not, 07, for sure

Yeah, those 480 motors are almost as crazy as the 500. Make sure you show us pics when you get started. etc etc. Have fun.

its going to be a while before i start doing it, i just replaced 3 you(stupid word filter!) joints and needle bearings in my truck, so the parts kinda killed my finacial aid for a month or so, LOL!!

I have the motor sittin in the trailer, and i have to find the frame and forks, the swingarm and axle is down stairs.

Lou, might i make a suggestion on the powder coating? Do it silver, it will look AWESOME with the black seat for sure
