    200x hesitates from 1/4-1/2 throttle

i can't seem to find the culprit. i've cleaned the carb, idle jet, main jet, moved the c-clip up and down on the needle. i moved the c-clip all the way to the bottom, lean, and it runs alot faster, but still hesitates. drained the tank, and put fresh gas in, has good flow through the petcock. i've screwed the idle screw all the way in and all the way out, and everywhere in between, and it still hesitates between 1/4-1/2 throttle. i havn't touched the pilot screw, because its frozen, and i'm afraid of it snapping off. whats the problem here? thanks

Change your fuel line and filter, clena and/or change your air filter, and air intake tube. Check your sealing between carb and engine. Maybe you should check your throttle cable also maybe, and/or return spring inside the carb.

My 86 200x would not idle without the choke and would run like crap at anything under 1/3 throttle. I found that the timing chain was a tooth off. The jackasses that I bought the bike from replaced the chain and screwded it all up. I am now rediong the top end and will let you know how it works out.

Mine did the same. I still can't get the prick to have good closed to 1/4 throttle. At some point I'll have to figure it out. I wish there was an easier way to fix it other than convincing ourselves it's always a carburetor problem. We clean and clean them and move crap around and stillcan't seem to get it.My SX has had a hicupp since I got it so I tried to adjust it and it snapped off. I put never seize on the new one.

    pilot

I would definitely get that pilot airscrew out. I think that part of the throttle range is affected by that system.
