I dont have a problem with bubba winning as long as its clean. Hes fast when he can stay on his bike, thats his bigest problem. But just like anyother sport any given race somone can win, Stewart, RC, Reed, Winham (my fav) Not to mention about 6 other that can step it up if theres a wreck or bad start by the front runners.

You don't think James was forced to over ride the underpowered KX250 while everyone else has riding 450's and that's why he crashed so often?
In the 125's no one was pressuring him so he could ride his own pace and clean house, moves up to the 250's and then he has competition and an lower HP bike. Did he not tell Kawasaki that if they build him a 450 he would win?

we never got to see earnhardt vs. jr in nascar
What does this have to do with SX?? And even if it did what makes you think that nascar needed the Earnharts for competiton?

P.S. we did get to see Jr. VS Sr. for 5 races in 1999, and the whole 2000 season.

    Bubba

Bubba rules.I was fortunate to see him Live at Broome Tioga 2 years ago.. The dude is just so fast and hes not afraid to take a line that isnt a line to make a pass.Everyone at Broome Tioga ,no matter what manufacturer or rider they liked were in awe of him.He was just plain SICK So fast
As for landing on RC thats racing and it happens on occasion. Allso I believe it was his 1st year riding the Big Bikes. Its gonna be a good Supercross Season.

Oh By the way Bubba Is ahead of RC by 10seconds right now. But he rides so fast he couldbail. But he looks smooth 2night.

RC got a lousy start... yes bubba's lap times were faster but RC's lap times only got better as the race went on, RC is one tough dude! Bubba came close to eating it a few times, cause he is so fast! I will call it now ....RC will win at Anahiem, Jan 7.....

man this season is gonna be crazy.if bubba stays healthy he can beat RC.but he rides so fast is always on the brink of diasaster.all i got to say is 12 secs.he beat ricky by 12 secs.now thats impressive.

maybe RC is holding back, letting bubba get overconfident?i dunno, but it will be down to last few races this year.GO BUBBA.

I'm not a bandwagon guy when I say that James is my favorite rider because I have watched him since he was on 60s. Who is my other favorite rider? Jeff Emig. RC and MC are both spectacular riders, but MC's time has passed, and like all SX and MX greats, RC's time will pass, too. I wouldn't count him out just yet, though. As far as James riding beyond his means, that's crazy to say that. He knows exactly what the bike is doing. He may appear a little ragged at times, but go back and look at RC during the 01-02 seasons. There were times that any other rider would have gone down, but he held it together. His analogy at the time he switched to Honda was that he had to ride the Kawasaki at the fringes of its abilities to make it go fast because of the dated chassis. When he switched to Honda, he found that their chassis was much more suited to his style, so he was able to go even faster. Last year was like that for James. The steel perimeter-framed KXs were good bikes, but they didn't handle as well as others, and the 250 was down on power. Now, he has the 450 with totally new geometry and a new material, which is a little more forgiving that steel. There is no question that James is the fastest man out there. What he did on a 125 was incredible, especially compared to the 450s. Look at the lap times from the 04 outdoor season. James has always ridden at the very edge, and he will only get more and more comfortable on the big thumper.

This could be the beginning of a new era.

I am still pulling for RC. It is nice to see him have some comp. with Bubba, but RC has way more experience. Bubba is in a totally different class and I believe will make mistakes. RC doesn't seem bothered by the 2 losses. I look for him to get faster. RC won't just quit or let it slip away. This season though will be all about Bubba and RC. I would like to see Reed step it up and get in there too. That would make a hell of a season to have 3 riders who take it at any time.

Well Bubba handed it to them all on Saturday again! What a guy!
If he stays healthy as stated earlier I think James will be our SX champ for '06!

I may end up eating my words. Bubba is riding better than he has in past years. Not show boating as much. I still am pulling for RC though. He isn't a quitter and will not just let Bubba walk off with it. RC will step it up every race. If Bubba takes it this year, he will deserve it.
