I think the stock chain guide is discontinued? I bought a thick plastic sheet from home depot and made my own.

Yeah were outta luck on chain guides. I have a blue Travelcade cover on it now 3Razors, I was just anxious to ride lol.

Sand trikes are so sweet, I hate having my bike covered in mud and crap but oh well. Plus with all the topend power the Tecate makes it'll be a real winner.

I think you should go with a white frame and red pastics like ange's Tecate.

Here's my 85 before the franks+2 swinger and green number plate. I still don't have them installed yet. I need to do something with the motor color(jug and bottom end) don't know if I should just have it repainted black or not. I've had alot of parts chromed: dogbone, footpegs, breakpetal, pipe, shock mounts.

Thats a nice tecate. I wanted to go green, but I dig the red...

I found a pic of my old red bike. Has anyone bought a red maier rear fender lately? I picked up a new red oem front fender from a board member, I was wondering if they would match.

Damn, thats one sweet looking T3 you had. Nab the radiator relocation kit from Sean's old bike?

I've been looking at atckowasaki's 84 Red/blue Tecate and it looks sweet. Looks oldschool with the gold wheels, blue accents and cherry red plastics.

for an extended axle you can goto a 86 axle. you have to use the 86 axle, brakes, sprocket, and carrier. it slides into the 85 swinger and is wider.

Thats good info... Has anyone tried wetsanding a red tecate tank before? I know the R tanks clean up good.

heres and idea blazer, becaust i love the way you build bikes.....build this one up for me n ill buy it off of you in the summer? some insperation for ya right there. lol get some pics of the stuff when its light out.

Thats all it takes. In that picture its the bike all tore down. not much here to see yet. I want to see some more tecates, but people are being stingy with their pics. lol I going back and doing a better search... I like the look of this bike.

Well I tackeled the forks this morning. I used a 5/8 wooden dowel as my holder tool, I'm not sure if that going to fly for putting it back together though. I'll fab something up though. Does Kawasaki still carry any parts and do you guys have any part numbers handy? My local dealer have never heard of a Tecate. lol

are you rebuilding them? if so I can get the factory numbers. it wont be until this evening as I am at work right now. I got them from my local honda/kawasaki dealer.
