    Check out this 250r seat

I was in a bidding war about a year ago on E-bay for a seat in just as good of condition as this one, maybe even a little better for my own trike. I think I won it for around $89.00, and thought I was losing it for paying that much. Check out what this one went for #4594515429 WOW!!!!

Maybe some of his buddies were bidding on that as well.

The highest I think I have ever seen one go before this one was around $120.00 or so. This is just wild, I have seen nice complete bikes with the seat go for just a little more than that.

As much trouble as you are having finding one, this would explain why this one went for such a high price. Unless someone starts reproing the pans, it isn't going to get any cheaper.

thats what i am afraid of!! lol. hopefully ill find one at a cheap buy it now price. most of my hondaline items were bought with cheap buy it now. if i have to bid against some of the big spenders i would be screwed lol like i said before it might be cheaper to buy a complete bike later

Or you contact the people to end the auction early...

I think I paid like $100 for my extra seat with the OEM fenders/latch/mudflaps, etc. Then the guy screwed me on shipping of $70. The seat cover was toast, but the foam is OK if you need the foam. I bought a Hi-Flite dessert seat for it.

well, i got a second chance offer on the seat. the high bidder punked out on everything he bid on. i offered the seller a very high price and he turned me down. it will be relisted. but i was not going to give him 350.00 based on someone that probably had no intentions of paying anyway. so just gonna have to sit back and see what happens.

I'll be watching this one (not bidding. I have one)....Probably means it was bidded up in the first place. Just a side note...My 81 R was a CA bike and then TX....Not a spec of surface rust on the entire machine.....That is until I took the cover off...YUK !! So i suspect seat pans that have been more exposed to the elements are even worse and rotted right thru...Mine looks like I caught it in time...Just surface rust....gonna blast and powder coat it
