well got her home, got to fix the compressed forks asap, my kids rode her around the yard for a couple hours today they had a ball on her, ran like a top, think it was worth the 500.00? also what tire came stock on these, these are carlise look like balloons. started up good for sitting years in a garage. gonna resto her this winter.

Well it looks great (well except for the forks). If it runs as well as it looks the I'm sure it was worth the $500 you payed. They are a good mud trike.

I say put a set of 22 11 8 mudlites on ther all around .There wont be a obstical you can't overcome.

Yamaha ran Dunlop tires. Sadly, they are discontinued, so unless you find some NOS ones on eBay or at a dealer, you're out of luck for exact tires. They ran 22 x 11-8 tires, size-wise. If you go to Chaparral Motorsports' web page and look under ATV tires, the Cheng Shin C829 is pretty darn close to what the original 200 Tri-Moto tires used to look like. And they have them in 22 x 11-8.

I guess just make sure those are the original 8" rims on the trike. Those tires are ginormous. Maybe for the rear tires they'd be ok, but on the front?

Also, if you ever need OEM parts for your restoration, I find BikeBandit.com's OEM page to be very helpful. They even have diagrams on the site to you know exactly which part you need or are missing. Perhaps you already know this, but I see people on eBay paying 3 times the price of an OEM part they can at BikeBandit so I thought I'd mention it.

The regular YTM 200 comes with 22 x 11 x 8, but the 200E does not. Slowneasy, Your tires should be 25 x 12 x 9, that is why they look so big, that and your rear tires look over inflated.

thanks guys, yup there 25x12.0x9" they are pretty hard will check psi on them, they are carlise brand dont know if there the stock ones or not forgot to ask the guy.

the rear ones are stock, I have a differant front one than you (same kind as rear ones) So Maybe mine isnt stock,,,not sure.

They are not stock, like ATCT said I think Yamaha used Dunlop knobbies. I know they used then on the YTM200, I am almost sure they used them on the YTM200E also.

from the second picture you can tell it a 4 lug wheel instead of the small 3 X 100 pattern. the wheels and hubs are from a honda big reg im betting. the hub splines are the same.

YTM200's had 4 bolt hubs, I'm pretty sure those are stock tires, mine had them, and a lot of other 200e's Ive seen had them.

Or maybe they're just a popular tire??

are they the same ones on yours Yamahauler as a blaster? my brother back on the day had a 1983 200 yamaha and it had the 3 lug wheels and so did my 225dx thats why i said that. my one friend has a 86 quad version and it has the 4 x 100 hubs like a blaster or tri z. they look like a way bigger pattern then that. maybe the 4 x 150 like a big red.

my 85 atc 250r had those same tires and size on the back of it as his Yamaha does. they were a cheap replacment tire that lasted forevee real hard compund.

i took them off rite away even before i rode it. the place i got it from was in the middle of town with no place for a test spin. it looked scary and the fenders were cracked up some. the guy wrecked it i guess and was scared of it. it sat a while because it was on the stock bore when i got it in 1995. the gas would knock you out bad paint thinner and the axle bearing blew out after 15 minutes of riding it at home. no grease just rusty looking dirt.

that YAMAHA is in real good shape for the year and price.

The YTM200 has a 3 bolt rim, the YTM200E has a 4 bolt rim, those look stock to me.

The parts manual shows the stock tire as a Dunlop KT430. The carlise's are not stock on anything I know of, they are a popular tire, both that pattern and their trail pro's. They are a cheaper tire which is probably why we see them on so many trikes. Here is a trike with what looks like stock tires, I wish I could find an ad that shows the tire pattern but I haven't, these agree with what the parts manual tires look like (although it doesn't give a good tread pattern picture)...
