any UTI (Universal Technical Institue) graduates??????

Well, In a couple years I will be leaving for college and I was looking at the UTI school(S). I am interested in the hot rod part, but like every gear head...interested in every other car/truck class they offer. I was just wondering if there are any UTI graduates here? If so I got a couple Questions...

    Thanks,
    Charlie

Guy I work with graduated form UTI in Pheonix and another guy I use to work with graduated form there also. Both of them talk higly about the school. Even more they liked Pheonix, 1-2 hours from beach, mexico, or snow sking.

ive never heard any bad about uti, but 2 of my freinds have gone to UNO (university of northwestern ohio) and they both said it was a joke..they said at orientation they show you drag cars and stock cars that youll be working on, and once you start you dont see much more than a ford escort. the one dropped out half way through the semester and the other said they never touched a car until the last week when they rebuilt a ford escort engine.

RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT! AND NEVER LOOK BACK, THEY ARE TOO FAR BEHIND TO SEE!!

Id rather have a sister in a WHORE HOUSE than a brother in a FORD!

idk, i go to SUNY canton up here, and we ave a crapload of cars, and i am taking both automotive technology and motosports performance...the auto side has like 40 cars mostly new, no hot rods though, and elliot sadler did a commercial for us....its cool too, cause there is usually only like 20-25 people going through the program at once, so it isnt very crowded....the powersports side has insane polaris stuff, like crazy prototype longtrack rmk's and stuff, and a few 4x4's and a buttload of victory's....we have a chassis dyno for quads and bikes and a bunch of vintage harleys and triumphs...in either curriculum you have to build your own race motor and transmission....its fun either way....

So you UTI guys (or who ever)...

Like when you graduated...did you pursue what you went there for or did you find something else?

I am looking to be around motors and stuff for a career, but I dont want to be a mechanic (no offense to the mecahnics by any means). Im pretty good at math and engineering stuff yet I dont want to sit at a computer all day. DOES ANYONE have an idea of a happy medium?

Im not sure what to go to school for as I want to use my creative side, math side, and fabrication skills all in one, and Id like to eventually own my own business. please help lol

I never got a job as a mechanic, I went into construction instead, but I do fix my own vehicles and toys. I would just go for something because it is a good experiance anyways.

NATE B...Thats what I was kinda thinking. I mean yeah, it costs $$$, but Im really into it and it's only 18-22 months, so its better than getting a masters lets say and not liking that. Id rather "waste" 18-22 months than 6-8 years! lol.
