Hard riding will throw a seat off the bike fairly easy so that little setup keeps the seat locked down.

I made one for my 350X. I just used a flat 1/8" plate, welded some large 3/8" bolts to it and use really huge wing-nuts. It make the fenders very snug and un-wobbly plus they don't fall off after landing a hard jump.
