Pep is a pretty comon place to send your rear shock to for a revalve or rebuild. I don't think they use a progressive spring, I think its more in the valving. You can get shocks with duel rate springs for the rear but I don't know if your stock one can be converted. Do a search on Pep for more info.

well the spring may help, but the biggest advantage is in the valving.having the proper valving to composate for wieght, riding stlye, and bike is so important.that spring isn't gonna be at it's full potential without good internals to support it.

I don't know if I agree with that. With all the adjustment in most rear shocks now, I don't see how revalving would be much of a benifit. I think that having the right weight spring for your weight and riding style would be what's most important.

Jordan, I don't believe Progressive makes a spring for the 85-86 250R anymore. If you get the free length dimensions and diameters, and a friendly rep on the phone, you maybe able to cross one. They'll also need to know the rate of your original spring, so be prepared to ship it to them.

well,i konw the spring has alot to do with it,but all the dampning, and rebound come from your valving.when your are turing those knobs and adjusting the shock, your are effecting the valving.
