Exclamation transmission oil in 84 125m??

Can anyone tell me if you need to put oil in the clutch (you know, in the case) on a 1984 125M? Or, is the oil that lubricates all that stuff just siphoned (sp) in from the oil that is used by the motor itself? I noticed there is a plug/screw on top of the clutch housing and I was just wondering what that is for.

    Thanks

    From my Manual

There is the Dip Stick on top, a Drain Plug down below by the Foot Peg Bracket, Remove the Right Side Crank Case and Clutch outer Cover and there is an Oil Filter and Screen in there. The Screeen is at the very bottom I guess it comes out so it can be cleaned. It doesnt show the filter but it seems it sits in the middleof the Clutch. If I could get my Scanner going I will Put the manual Pages.
It says not to allow dust and dirt to enter the Crankshaft oil Passage and not to use Compressed Air. Clean the Inside of the Case and all that. Allso cleAN the Oil Filter Rotor. I had the shop do it for me but will be doing it myself sometime this winter. I got a line on a nice set of Forks on E-Bay. I allso sawa few 84 Honda 125 M Manuals on E-Bay

Yes, I noticed the two drain plugs on the bottom, I will look more closely at her later on. If you could scan those pages it would be greatly appreciated! Ill have to look @ Ebay, but my 'puter is being dumb, so I cant bid because of cookies and stuff. Good to hear you found some forks...youve been lookin quite awhile.

When I remove the case, is it the "right side" as in shifter side? The only dip stick I see is for the engine oil (on left side of motor if riding it). Is that the one you are referring to?

What kind of oil can/should I dump in on the clutch side then?

The engine oil and the transmission oil are the same thing! That's why I use Honda 4 stroke ATV/Motorcycle oil because it doesn't have all the friction modifiers that new car motor oil has because it ALSO lubricates the clutches!

Oh... I also picked up a NOS 1984 ATC125M Honda Owner's manual.... still in the original bag and never opened! Let me know if either of you'd be inteested in it.
