Another 70 question

Hi all, I finally got my 70 running. I replaced the points, tried to fire it up but wouldn't. So I had my wife pull me behind the car and started after about 5-10 feet. I let it idle for a bit and took rode for a sec. There is some white smoke coming out of the exhust and seems to run a little rough. I pulled the plug out and it seems to be running rich. It was black and dry with a little wet on the very tip of the plug. What might be causing it to run rough? And what is white smoke? I dont smell any oil burning, it smells more like gas.

Mess with the points some more--and check ignition timing----the way it starts when being pulled --but not by the cord?????Sounds ignition----Get the points right and youll be surprised how alot of other symptoms dissappear!

White smoke is usually water----Possibly condensation in the tank
