    250 sx question

I went today to check out an 85 250sx.
    Guy wants 700
its missing a carb, throttle and cable, brake system, ignition switch, and starter solenoid and bat. Frame in in good shape once it gets a good sandblasting. Motor seems ok (need to do a comp. test)
shocks are ok. clicks through all the gears.
    I want a project bike.
    MY QUESTION IS...
is this kind of stuff relatively east to get on ebay?
I am going to offer him 350 and try to settle 400-450.
    thanks for the advice.

If you can't find them on ebay you can find them from somebody on here. Try not to go past 400 bucks since it's in that condition.

If motor and trans are good, I'd say 400 a decent price. Paid 750 for mine 3 yrs. ago and it was ready to ride. Needed rubber boot that covers univ. joint and both hand brake cables. I have seen almost every part you have listed, on e-bay. As for easy to get?? Depends on who wants 'em! Watch out "Thar's sharks in them thar waters" LMAO

 Yeah, 700 is way too much for an SX in that condition. For $700, you could get one in just about mint cond.
