CB 750 Streetbike Trike Conversion Info

Its pretty sparse if you ask me, think we need some light to shine down on the shady subject. 4cylinders, care to explain how your conversion went? I'm real curious as most CB's I see are dual shock and not the mono setup of the X. Fill me in?

I'm thinking of a 87 Gix 750 conversion using the same basic parts, maybe custom tripples and USD forks, fat Hoosier front tire and 22 inch Hoosiers on the back. Prollay a 7/11 motor swap and an R1 tail piece. PIMP! Now mind you it won't be for another 4 maybe 5 years but it'll be done and street legal to boot using the bike VIN.

hey, used a 200x for the rear sub-frame, and the frontend. the upper shock mount is on the sub-frame of the x. the whole thing went together in about a month of spare time, but this was the third time. only had to alter the stem on the tripple to use the x frontend.

those conversions are sick. most ive seen around here were based on the 350x frame though.

Yeah we are in the process of doing one at our shop. But on a cb 350, all we did was move the shocks and chop the swingarm uup, and rewelded it, and used a 200s axle carrier and axle. We'll try to take some pictures. Its almost done

What year CB's work? Does it use the X swinger bolt and does the X shock bolt in place? You must have made a mono shock mount on the CB chassis cause all the years I see use the dual shock setup. The 80's CB's have some nice lines to work with.

Anyone have some pics of 750 trikes?

hey, any bike you can come up with will do. using the bike frame will let you use the bike gas tank. a 5 gal gas tank is nice sometimes. use the bolt for the bike, space the swing arm to center it. lining up the sprockets might be kind of tricky. try looking for pictures on my old posts.
