Yeah, he had it strapped to the top of my camper. He is probably in Ohio and settled in about now.

I guess you aren't heading to haspin this time around?

That is the nicest "atc 250r" I have ever seen. It looks so professional it would fool most people into thinking that Honda has a new model.

I'm not sure about a kit. I guess with this swinger, I could send it out to use the measurements to build them, and the trips too. I'll think about it, and check with a couple guys to see how much $$$ I would be able to make. (if the profit is worth the time invested)

The other thing is...do I REALLY want a bunch of these conversions running around? I like the uniqueness, and if I sell kits, there will be OTHERS out there. Not sure if I like that! LOL!!!! Yes, selfish, I am!

I'm the same way lol, its better to have something unique that someone else doesnt have, so its better not to sell the kits to anyone

    450 clamps

It's not that I want to copy you because believe me, I want my creation to be a one off that no one else has. It's just that your triple trees will fit my project perfectly. I don't want a kit or anything just the clamps. I've got my own plan that I plan on using for my swinger but I thought it would save some time to already have the clamps made up. If you don't want to share your stuff beleive me I completely understand. I feel the same way. Beleive me I'm not trying to push a conversion kit on you or anything like that. I just want a modern trike like you. My old 250r tells me that she's tired and wants to take a brake but she's all I got. My motocross stuff ain't got nothin on that ol girl. I'm just lookin for somthing great to feel a void in my heart. You know how I feel.

I'm sorry if this is being taken wrong.....I am NOT against other people having one of these....I was kidding more than anything. I doubt that the market would be flooded with conversions, even if there were a kit available. I have been thinkin of building a new set for this one...modified and tweaked a bit....and if I do, I can list these up for sale. If ya go back and re-read some of this thread, you'll see the guy who machined these for me ISN't going to be able to do any more any time soon. He is too busy with other things.... I am checking onto some other options. A friend a couple miles away has a small end mill at his garage and I may just have to do the next ones myself. We'll see.

As for the MX capabilities of this bike....I only got out on the big MX track for a few laps and kinda hit the step-up jump half and half. Too short to clear the whole thing, and too far to land smooth. Bottomed kinda hard. My fork seals are blown and leaking, and it is obvious that the long swingarm is making the rear shock too soft for any serious air. I kinda figured the rear would be soft, but that is fine for MY riding. I don't go real big, and I can't/don't really MX. With the front reworked, it will be a fine trailbike, and excellent dragger. As it works now, it would feel sweet out in the open Dunes.

Now, to build one for the MX track? I think with a shorter swinger, a slightly modified subframe (couple inches lower) and more/easier turn in the front end, it would work ok. Later.

Out Standing,How much would you say it weighs?and what is the stability like?
any more stable than the 86 ATC R?
I work on bikes all night at school (MMI)and dream of this sort of thing constantly.
Although I am not a fabricator I dream none the less and considering the amount of fabrication involved I doubt I could pull it off but dont know untill I try .
Exellent job ,I would definately send pics to HONDA.

Suspension was too soft for MX. Blew the fork seals the first couple laps at TF 06.

Where is it now...parted out all over eBay.

Only vids were of it at TF drag racing and other vids already posted.
