    Pipes

I also had an FMF on an 85 a few years ago. The bike was stock except for the pipe and silencer. The pipe gave the bike a nice top end, but it realy cut down on the low end. It needed alot of clutch work in the woods. I did not like it that well. I bought a huge Trinity pipe this summer for the ATC but I have not had a chance to run it yet. I have heard that the Paul Turner "high rev" is the best all around pipe for the ATC, but I have also heard that the Bills pipe gives a great bottom and midrange boost. Choices!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My brother had a FMF fatty on his '86. It really brought out the low end.

I've asked for opinions on other boards about pipe performance, and I've gotten varying, often contradicting opinions. I've heard that the Paul Turner Hi Rev was the pipe to have for mid range to top end, then I've heard from someone that used a PT that the ESR ATC5 was a better pipe for upper range power. I've heard that the FMF was good for low end, and bad for low end.
I'm wanting a mid-top end pipe, personally, and I'm kinda stuck trying to decide which way to go. The most solid testimony yet is the one mentioned above from the guy that owned both the PT and the ESR ATC5. I definitely like the price of the ESR better, but performance concerns me most. I sold a perfect DG for $50 and could buy it back for the same money, but according to what I've read here, it's not as good as the others mentioned.

Well I run the Paul Turner Hi-Rev with an FMF Power core II silencer. I love this set-up. I ride only dunes with this bike, and it has so much top-end it's crazy. The low end is still there, about the same as stock, but it will rev to the moon. I love this Pipe. I have never heard anything bad about it. Paul turner also makes a low-mid pipe. check out www.duncanracing.com for more information.

fmf fattyy's are a good bottom end pipe. I'mgoing to put on a atc 5 on my r they are supposed to be a littler better for all around use. paul high rev's aren't that great off a pipe unless your in the dune's though.
