Raptor 350 needs a new engine

Lets face it, Yamaha is trying to compete with the 400ex and Z400 with a heavy slug. It was great back in 1987, but now it's totally inadequate.

I agree, but what made you think about that now? You working on one for somebody? Reading a mag review? Just get done taking one for a Demo? Spill the beans, what is going on in your head? LOL!!!

Back in 97/98 (close to that) I ALMOST bought a Warrior! Boy am I glad I didn't.
Speaking of underpowered engines....
The 400EX NEEDS a new engine. They should just leave the 300EX AS IS, scrap the 400EX and build something SERIOUS to compete with the Raptor. If they still want the midsized Trail machine, fine, but at least OFFER something BigBore for the MILLIONS of Trail Riders who NEED more POWER! I think a TRX650 would be an awesome trail machine. It could definitely hold its own against a Raptor, DS650 or anything else in its class.

The warrior is a turd in the sand dunes. They must be really good in hard packed tight dirt trails or they wouldn't have sold millions of them.

The 400ex handles damn good but is seriously low on power stock. I agree 100% honda needs to add about 5-8hp to them stock. That way they could compete with the z400 better

Sorry the raptor/warrior 350 is a SLUG...and that Sig is to Big...please make it smaller or get rid of it...BTW

if i make it any smaller i gets all distorted but ill smoke ya on my Rappy 350 heres some mods wiseco high compression piston,white brothers pipe, knn airfilter and jet kit and over hauled carb...but who would win out of a drag my 350 or my stock (except to knn filter) 1985 200x
