ballpark price for a 86 350x??

i paid $900 for mine in 1993,it was like new,ive done a good bit to it now,local honda shop tells me i could get 1800-2000 for mine now,anyway a "friend" says his neighbor recently had a barn clean out and there sat a 86 350 in pretty good shape so he says,they guy says he wants $1000 for it,i havent seen it yet,he says i have 1st dibs on it..i woulndt mine getting it giving it the once over,and anything it might need,and reselling for a small profit..then it would benefit everyone,the guy would get his $$,i would enjoy fixing,cleaning up[riding] it a little, then the new buyer would have a good machine for a good price.i cant imagine its worth $1000 afetr its been sitting for years though in a barn..what you think i ought to offer?....oh yea...says he has new brakes for it...somewhere!

I would go look at it as everyones opinion of good shape is differant then offer what's worth

You can get clean ones here between 1200-1500. Hard to offer anything without seeing it.

yea his good shape may be alot different than mine! if it is in "my" good shape i'll offer around 750 then go from there..i hear today he also has a tri-zinger 70? its the small one,im not sure if its a 70 or 80,i'll look at that too

Go to ebay and check out what the 350X's are pulling in decent shape.......nicer ones are consistently going for $1500+

Well, I guess as said, it depends on the shape it's in. If it's mostly or all originaly, I've seen 'em go for $6K.
