    Stupid tire/ wheel question.

    Ok if i wanted 22x11x8 tires would i buy 11x7 rims? or is there an actual 11x8 rim? LOL i know it's a stupid question but all the rims i'm seeing seem to be 11x7 or 12x7. thanks

    ok another question .... what do the numbers mean? 11 inches wide and 8 inches diameter?

    22x11x8 tires go on an 8 inch rim. 22 is hieght and 8 rim size. i think rims are generally the same width, i could be wrong though.

    it doesn't matter what the tire size is. Just the rim has to be 8in and the tire has to be 8 in.

    An 11x7 wheel would be 11" in diameter and 7" wide. 8" wheels are usually either 8 or 9 inches wide--8x8 or 8x9.

    Actually you can put a taller tire or a smaller tire on and it would be like changing the gearing slightly. A taller tire would give you more top speed, while a shorter tire would get you there quicker.
