polaris are actually pretty bad ass. most people who dont like them dont know anything about them. i had a 1994 400l 4x4 two stroke. i beat the hell out of the machine, and it always took it and wanted more. ony two complaints of mine would be that you have to take alot of stuff off just to get to the motor. the only other problem ive ever had is that if you ride in water the belt tends to get wet. just make sure you have a good seal around the cover. they are tough machines, so if the price is right, id go for it. the one you are lookin at will have plenty of power, and there are alot of aftermarket parts for it.

Yeah polaris isnt known too much for making Quads. Their more for Snowmobile's. Just they need more time and effort put into their ATV's. The Predator is like the only quad they have that isnt cheap looking. Plus the predator is an awsome machine. Just had to many friends buy utility polaris quads and the parts on them look thin and easily breakable. Plus they dont have too good of a re-sale value and i wonder WHY?

I had a 400 Sport some years ago....

It was heavy but a fine quad for sure!

BUT....if it's been used and abused, as with any of our beloved trikes OR quads, they'll be a nightmare-ish disaster money-pit that'll only serve to make you mad and you'll spend more time working on it than riding.

As the old sayings go, "buy the best you can afford" and "cheaper is NOT better", etc., etc..

    Caveat Emptor-Buyer Beware!

Trailblazers? No! The Sport's are alright, I had a 01 Scrambler 500 4x4 and it was a decent ride, definately not for jumping, but for trail riding, can't find a much better machine.

When I had my Sport 400, my wife had a Trailblazer.
It's a fantastic "wife/learner" quad since it doesn't rev much better than a Craftsman Riding Mower.
VERY easy-to-ride but nothing in the way of performance.
It's a piston-port 2 stroke, if memory serves me right.
Rather than the reed valve (250R, Tecate, Tri-Z, etc.) we're accustomed to.
