    Z frame color opinion

Ok, iI finally got some yellow onto the Z frame today..... This is the second try, I used a different yellow before but decided it was too light.

My question to you guys is...... what do you think, Go for a darker shade again? or stay with this color. I want to it match the stock color.

Mo350x,twgranger and the other Z who I dont know who it belongs to I hope you dont mind but I used a picture of your Z's

Are you using spray paint or base/clear?

If your using auto paint take a shroud and have them match it. Or you can use Ford Chrome Yellow, which is VERY close to original.

If your using , then I would look for industrial yellow. Should be close enough.

    Derrick,

Im using over a spray gunned primer, then clear coating over the top. I took a shroud with me to the auto parts store to match it, and this was a good match, but the paint is much lighter than the cap. I will go back to the store tomorrow and have a look if they have any industrial yellow. If they dont have industrial yellow I will get the next few shades darker/more orange

    Thanks for your input

I would go with a little darker yellow if you can.
It would probably look good like that though.

Ok, I put some more coats on the tube that runs by the airbox cover and placed the shroud on the frame....... looks like with some more coats its going to be a pretty close match!

I bought it inside for a picture.
