    Wow...awesome! I love my 86 Tri Z. The red and white reminds me of the exact same restore that I did on her.

    Congrats!!

    I did the same to my 86 Z. Had frame painted and built her up from there.

    Those pics of the red frame bring back memories!!

    I gotta throw a pic of my Z in here....I just love that color scheme!

    I just picked up an 86 BW 80 on trade (pretty much for free) but it needs a lot of help. I pulled the cylinder off and I'm going to have it honed and bored .020 over and like you, replace all the gaskets/seals, rebuild the carburetor, replace the tires, brakes and find new OEM plastic for it.

    Here are some pictures of it:

    Also, can someone point me in the right direction for a service manual for this machine.

    Great little project . You can get a clymer manual for the yamaha pw-80 and the bw-80 for around $ 30 to 35 . Let me know if you need any parts .
