OK Do I have a special 250sx it has all new plastic and gas tank so you cant really go by that. Here's the frame # JH3TE0428GM102033 The guy I bought it from said 86 with the white gas tank I believed him the only older plastic on iy is the headlight shroud and thats red and new blue seat cover. And yes thoughs are definately the frame #'s I sanded it down and looked at it 4 times what the heck is it?.....lol..... 88 that would be sweet......lol

Look at the emission sticker on the lower frame just in front of the motor on the verticle part of the frame on the left foot side. It should have the year if its still readible. Is the ear shock spring blue? The red shroud is confusing. All the 86s & 87s had white shrouds. May be a 85. Oh on the sidecover where the starter goes in Pointed like a V or more rounded.

I wouldnt doubt it to be a 88 your close to canada, wich sold them till 88 or 89

Thanks Clay it says 1986 so the numbers on the frame up by the triple tree must be some different then what says on the post in here anyone else have these #'s

Yeah, mine said 1987 on that emissions decal.

The GM are the year designation. Looking at our spex page http://www.3wheelerworld.com/1986HondaSpecpage.shtml you can see they match right up.
