They will look like a screened cone, most do. I know it says it in the description "These are very loud.", and they are VERY LOUD!!! It's not just a warning about a pipe that is a little loud compared to other pipes. You'll have pissed off neighbors for 2 blocks in the city and a whole township in the country!

It doesn't say anything on it. This pipe is basicly just a large pipe connetected to the header. There is nothing inside, except at the back it has a insert that has wire mesh on the back. It looks like it might be a spark arrestor but it still has about a 2 1/2 inch opening on the back.

Does the mesh go over the opening of the pipe? If so, then that's it.

No it does not. It just goes about 6 inches into the pipe, and is about a inch thick around the outside. Not sure what it is. It has a bolt on it to remove it.

what you are looking at is the fiber glass packing for the silencer. your exhaust is like my DG pipe I have for my 200X. its pretty much a full bore race pipe. the only thing that will make it louder is to take the muffler off and run just the head pipe, and even at that, it wont be much louder.
if you were going for quite, you got the wrong pipe.
