    Pull start repair.

Ok a while back i broke the pull start rope on my 99 grizzly 600. I finally have it all dug out and am beginning to get it going again. the thing is I lost the original rope that was in there.

so my question is can i use any old rope or is there i specific kind that would be a bit more stronger or last longer.

Also i need to know how long the rope should be?

Thanks in advance for the help.

don't just use any old rope. well you can but it will break when you need it. use a good nylon rope, of the biggest diameter that will fit. got to be about a 1/4 inch diameter rope that goes in there. you should get more than you need, its always easier to cut it, than have to rerope it all over again. i would say 5 ft would be more than enough. then if its too long, just cut it down.
