    My 250R build progress.

The other night I had to get it rolling. All I have left now to do is the bars (I have a new set of tag bars and ASV levers on the way), brakes, new clark tank (on the way) and a few other minor items. I can't wait!
I'm also thinking in the future I may have to get a set of white plastic...I love the look of Derrick's Casper.

Thanks...I pulled it apart in the spring last year...Planned on getting it running for the summer. I never had thought I'd go to this extent.

It's a silver metallic powder coat on the cases (same colour on the swinger) and I just sand blasted the cylinder clean.

Update...She's so close now. I finally got all the remaining parts I needed. Just a few more minor items like bleeding the brakes, puting on the chain and she will be ready to rip ... so I thought.
Yesterday I installed the new oil drain plug and found that the threads had been stripped out of the cases .
I want to try to put a heli coil in without spliting the cases. has anyone done this before? I was thinking I would try taking it reall slow and put grease in the flutes of the drill to help catch the chips and prevent them from getting in the engine.

might work but do the grease thing on the drill and such then flush the tranny with some cheap oil. might work but i dunno
