what would be reasonable?

I found a 87 fourtrax 250x four wheeler. My friend lives next to a house and it is in a leanto off the back garage and i spotted it 5 months back and i was thinking of a project quad. This is the first one i ever seen around here. It is good condition from what i could see. It still had oem tires on it, about half tread. MY friend said its been sitting there for at least year when he moved in. it was sitting there before he moved. If it didnt run what would be reasonable price to offer to the owner. And also are they a good quad, speed and trail wise.

its identical to a 300 ex, 50 less cc and a kick start are the only differecnes

If it doesnt run, find out what the problem is, but if it is just a carb clean or something simple I would probably say 800-1000 maybe, and that is Canadian funds so i dunno what that is US.

those are fun quads. bullet proof too. that would be a fun one to restore
