howdy, what was your project? just curious.

I think the Tiger is awsome. The Rotax motors are nothing to mess with. Congrats on your trike. Also its made in America, and it is not ugly at all.
first of all i'm not forcing anything down anybody's throat, i'm offering info on the RAREST bike on here. it was appropriate under "this v. that" for me to brag and argue, i'm not doing it here. if you want to know more about it then fine, that's what i'm offering. if you don't then don't post on the thread. and maybe you didn't read the other thread but i wasn't attacking anyone else or their bikes. i was just asserting FACTS about mine. i praised this site and other's wheelers, SOME people just didn't realize that. and i didn't say it was the BEST i said it was the SICKEST and the RAREST and the most VALUABLE. several others agreed with me. that's not what i'm doing here. you guys take things way to seriously and personally, lighten up.Originally Posted by Howdy

Im not saying your tiger is rubbish, I bet its an awesome trike...... to a collector. Why do you think they never gave the R's and Tecate's competition on the track.![]()

the post you quoted was pertaining to this thread. and the other posts in the link just proved my point about it. thanks for finding them! but this is not the thread to debate. why can't you understand that?

Yes, I did quote the post from this thread. But the other thread has left it's impact on a lot of forum members.Originally Posted by Dr. Death

you opened up the gates for a debate.Originally Posted by Dr. Death
I agree with your first / original comment in this thread that it is awesome. I do like the different look of the machine. It is VERY interesting. But Both threads you claim it as the Rarest. I agree it is a Rare one, but it's not the rarest. That would have to be desided via a Poll. I can name quite a few "Rare" machines, 87 250r, 87 350x, Nick turbo, Taurus, Tiger 500, 86 Tiger 250, Project ATC, Cagiva, Avenger, and many more. Sure some of these are more Utility machines, But most of them are designed for racing. But they are all machines that are hard to find. Hard to find = Rare ( IMO ). Rarest machines are the ones you know was made ( at least in proto type ) but can't be located ( Like 87 250r and the 87 350x ).
A Poll ( this or that forum ) would allow forum members to deside the current Rarest machine. This would settle this debate fair a square. If you want I will start a poll. Just let me know.
Howdy
your not the only one with a tiger, is your restored or origional condition? mine is un restored and have been sittign since 87 and only has 2 or 3 races on it and is 100% stock exept the bars are answer and the tether switch.

i think my tigers are rare but not the rarest. the 500cc seem too be awful hard too find rare trike and it makes them very desired but by no means the rarest wish they was not packed up for moving i would add some pics as soon as i get them unpacked i will post pics
Trikes currently owned
E.T. trike 150H.P. and climbing Pure DRAG beast
85 250r project
I've seen more tigers on this site than suspension 70s'. Does that make them rarer. They were semi production trikes too. Howdy has an only bike, though. And I remember somone on this site having a 200r, has to be rarer than a tiger.
Yes that 200r factory racer is very rare.... you are right. The man hails from Ft Laudeand being its a Honda with all the Honda fanatics it would probably beat the 86 Tiger in price on ebay!!
Wikipedia "All Terrain Vehicle" Definition excerpt
Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Rides: TIGER Factory line up, Tricky Dicks Cagiva 200, 4- Franks 3 and 4 Wheelers
The 200r is definetly a bike I would like to see some good pics of, I was unaware that anybody on here had one, although I do remember reading a thread awhile back about someone finding one in a shed somewhere. The couple pics I have seen were of it racing and werent very clear.
As for this so called "rarest trike ever crap" I would definetly say there are a lot rarer trikes out there, for instance "the project ATC" as it is one of a kind, cags. A tiger is definetly on my list of trikes to one day own, preferably a 500. One thing this guy needs to learn that while he is proud of his bike, as was stated we all have bikes that we are proud of. Some of us have stuff that we are in a way so proud of that we are very descrete about and dont brag and show anybody and everybody. There are ways to be proud of what you have and not be a total jerk about it, throughout life I have found that the ppl that act like this either dont have much, or grew up with little and now that they have something good they need everyone to flock to them to be proud of themselves for what the have. Some just cant live without being the center of attention, now whatever the case may be, ppl need to realise that if you want incredible praise, then you either (A) Need to join a forum with nothing but young kids, or (B) need to post a pic of your bike and take the good comments with the bad comments, not everyone has the same taste thats why there are different manufacturing companys, some like ford, some like dodge or chevy, some like honda, some like yamahas, kawasaki, tiger, cagiva. Whatever it may be some ppl just dont like the same things some love their 250rs and think they will smoke a tecate and some say vice versa. That is just the way life is and you cant go around with the high and mighty sindrome because in reality it will get you absolutly no where in life. There are numerous ppl on this forum that seem to have tons of money and some that dont have much at all, some like orangecnty have some really really nice trikes, but talk very nice to people and act civilized and treat people with general respect even though he probably has tons more cash lying around then the average forum goer. Does it make him any better?, no not really what makes him better than some people is the way he treats others and in general seems to be a good person. Then their are people like HOWDY that could be loaded or could be poor for all I know, but what I do know is that he has an insane amount of knowledge and love for trikes and without him and all his work we wouldnt even be able to be on this site right now, he I feel is an incredible asset to the comunity. These are great people just for the simple fact of who they are and how they interact with others, coming on here with the high and mighty attitude will certainly no get you too far, whether or not you signed on here a long time ago, to me that means nothing, to me post count means very little, it is more important if the post are worth while or not. While I am sure this will go in one ear and out the other I do feel that you need to stop and realise that its not the way to make friends, and I am not sure as to how much fun tf06 would be if nobody can stand to talk to you cause of the high and mighty sindrome. You do have a nice machine, just remember that sometimes it is better to be humblie proud verus scream at the world obnoxious proud.![]()

Actually HondATC has done more work on the site than I have. My main mission / job is keeping the forums family friendly and scammer free ( the past 2 days shows this ). I prefer to be considered a "Average Joe", nothing more or less. IMO, there are a few other Current Good standing members of this forum that has as much if not more 3 wheeler knowledge than me. But they have been bashed when giving the correct answer / advice. So they no longer anwer as many questions or to give much advice. I can completely understand where they are coming from, because I get my share of unwarrented bashing as well. My passion and love for 3 wheelers out weighs the bashing so I keep helping where ever possible.Originally Posted by phreakboy

I did not realise that HondATC was so heavy into the site but I will give props to him too, and other members that contribute. Thanks for the link, I never saw the pics before in it, I am not even sure if I saw it after it was brought back up. Awesome pics.

i did not bash anyone else. i love this site and all the machines on it. look and see, i never put anyone's machine down. i've owned honda's and yamaha's and loved them all. in actuality my personal favorite to ride is an '86 250sx. i've probably spent more time ogling orangecty's bikes than he has. i posted in the "this v. that" forum because i was debating, although there isn't much to debate. i posted in this forum to actually discuss the bike specs and the like. and to clear things up, i am not talking about all tigers, only the '86 tiger 250 that i own. brapp- your tiger is awesome, but it's not an '86 or close to the shape mine is in. mine is all original and everything is flawless except the rotax sticker on the engine and the rear tire is little dirty. again i am only talking about my '86 tiger 250, the only one i know of or anybody else knows of. there are cagaiva's, (which aren't facotry), i know of at least 2 scramblers in my town alone. i'll try to get pics. i also know of an '87 big red in my town that i can get pics of (originals have a gray seat). again tigers are awesome, but i am only talking about an '86. and nobody knows of an '87 250r or 350x. i would like to keep this thread about the bike itself. let's debate somewhere else.
