    bearings

    alright i bought a 200x in the summer, the guy i bought it from never drove it in years and has been sitting in a shed, well anyways when i got it the rear end was all tight and everything, but after a summer of rididng on rough trails with some mud my rear end is all loose, *Edited* can wable it, well anyways would it be the bearings and what bearing would they be so i know what to order, thanx alot

    well, you have to check and see if it's the axle bearings or it could also be the swingarm bearings.

    My bet would be the needle bearings in where the swinger mounts to the frame. But check both to be sure.

    normally if you hear grinding or crunching its the swingarm. Sound like rear end bearing though. Got the lug nuts tight right ?

    yea im kinda thinking its both becuase they are the original bearings in there, does anyone know about what the price range is for swingarm bearings and rear axel bearings, thanx

    The two are not related and I just dont see the logic in relacing swingarm bearings just because youre replacing carrier bearings, or vise versa. They are not cheap.

    They are simple to check. Simply rock the bike side to side, and look at it it and see where the play is. Its not rocket science. If the carrier has slop, replace bearings and seals. If swingarm has slop, replace swingarm bearings and seals.
