Got my KD80 need some help.

Yea, the spark plug cap was gone. And so was the piece you screw it on. Im going to see if I can take the wire off of another coil and put it on there. But the thing is, it's getting major spark through the wire. But when I wrap the metal wire around the spark plug end I get nothing. Or does the cap matter? Should I change that wire? Anyway's it has compression, good spark (electricutes me), kicks over fine. What should I do now?

If your getting electricity through the wire to shock you, your points are fine (if it even has points). You need to get the proper cap and a new plug, that should be your problem. When you wrap the wire around the plug do you get spark on the plug?

Its too new to have points. You will need the right spark plug to make it run. You can just throw a lawn mower spark plug in it and expect it to run. Go to your local parts store and get a new cap and the right plug.
