I got the wrap in the mail today. The front brake line on my 350X is not 5 ft, of course, but the brake line is thicker than the 3/8 ID of the spiral wrap, so it almost took the whole length to cover it. It comes in larger diameters, but I wanted to get the size smaller than my brakeline, so it would fit tight. That was a good choice. It takes some time to get it on, but you don't have to remove any parts, which was cool. All of my old clear liner had cracked off, so I was just wrapping the black brake hose. I had 3 inches left when I was done. The best way I can describe this product is a flat spiral plastic spring. When you get it wrapped, it stays put because of the spring tension and looks like a solid sleeve, because the coils fit tight together.Originally Posted by CorbinKale
I have to tell you guys, I am impressed with this stuff. I used the black color just in case it didn't work like I hoped on the trike. It does come in other colors common on trikes (white, red, blue, yellow). This stuff fits tight, looks awesome and gives the hose some needed support, while still being flexible and providing protection from cuts and abrasion. I have some cable management on my computers this stuff will be great for, too. I am going to order the 100 ft roll next time to save $$$. If you just need to do your front brake line, the 5ft section is just right.
No, I don't have any interest in this company.I am just stoked about finding such an unexpectedly good product for my trike.
