My reverse light don't work (250sx)

But my neutral light works just fine. I had the same problem with another sx I owned several years ago. Can someone help?

Check the wiring diagrams-----There will be a wire that runs to the reverse switch
(The neutral and reverse switches might be combined-I'm not sure)--ground the wire and check the light----Also check ALL ground connections
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

A customer walked in to my shop and Impatiently stated "My car doesnt start, Whats the problem?"I responded with a smile-"Yep that sounds like your problem alright"----

If I remeber right, The wire for the reverse switch goes to the engine case down by the right hand footpeg, Its quite vulnerable here and might have got broken, Its only protected by a small metal plate.

Oh believe me, I am a perfectionist, but I searched the wiring harness all over looking for the problem, and I coldn't find it. So I just figured it wasn't worth the trouble, and the bike isn't absolutely perfect anyway, right? lol

Napa, Autozone, Ace Hardware, ect. I have purchased little bulbs like this at quite a few different places.

You are correct. 99% of the time when your reverse light doesnt work its due to a bad connection on the bottom of the engine area. I have had my 85 SX, 85 big red and even my 86 SX have that same problem. I would clean that area where it connects really well and maybe put some silicone on it to keep it from corrosion.

check the engine case for the rev. wire connection. there are two, the other one is for the neutral lock out switch. that is probably where the problem is.
