    tri_z pipe

    ok hers the deal i need a TRI-Z pipe... badly... i've got a ported YZ250 powered tri-z.... it;s got a +8 arm on it... shearer makes and out of frame pipe... but i want a pipe thats "inframe" any ideas???? i can;t do the total custom pipe thing.... im in IN

    try ftz, i know they have the outframe, maybe they make an inframe as well

    buy a yz pipe and mod it to fit or pay someone to cut and reweld it to fit. if your running the yz topend, makes sense to runa yz pipe.

    the only problem with the YZ pipe is that this thing is aggressivly ported....

    LRD use to make a pipe for the Z. Also try power Pros. Maybe you can convince one of the two to make one for you.

    did anybody make and hand made pipes for tri-z's. reaplyed to a post a guy had posted on another site said he had a tri-z pipe that was section welded around the bend on the chamber....

    Yes. LRD and the Power Pros pipes are both cone pipes. The LRD on my Z is a sectional.

    ok this one is sectional... i'm awaiting some pics.... i know a LRD is gonna be more of a midrange pipe.. but at least i won't eb disgracign my Z with a DG

    i actually have a set of dynoport banshee pipes.. they perfrom well...... heres my problem though... don't they need the trike for a custom fit inframe pipe???? they are in NY i'm in IN

    yes they do thats a problem! Im going to call them monday and see if they are going to need the whole bike or if i can bring up a dg or stock pipe and maybe they can keep the specs on file?

    are you having them build you a pipe????

    if so.... maybe they can toss 2 together.... are you having them build you a mid-top style pipe?

    im going to call them monday and find out how mutch its going to cost and if they need the bike or just an old pipe? and priceing on plated and without ill let you know, it would be easer for me to get my bike there im not too far away . ill know more monday they are real pricey though i was looking at blaster pipes the works pipe and the mid top are 299 factory finish and nickel is 324 OUTCH!!!!! and thats for a blaster,gotta figure a costum pipe might be more??????

    well i can tell you about the plating.... they nickle plate and it's not the best job i've ever seen.... they have bad experiances with the platers around them.... the plating is not worth the $50 they charge IMO... like i said i have banshee pipes from them... they perform great though..... and the silencers are kinda cheapo also..... but if it'sa mid-top sylte inframe for a tri-z i'm all for it
