Hmm.. I've got a decision to make..

So. I am buying Derrick's awesome Tri-Z. Sounds perfect, right? WRONG! Buying this Z means that one of the other wheelers have to go.. I just can't afford 4 at 15. So.. what would you guys do?
The 350X has to stay.. it is my graduation project and I am halfway done with it.
So that leaves the 250SX or 250R to sell. Which would you guys sell?
I could probably sell the R with all of the extras (swinger, extra set of rims w/ tires all around, new rear tires, original plastics..) for $1500-2000. $1000 of that money would go to paying for the Z, and the extra would go to finishing the 350X project. Now the SX I would HAVE to get atleast $1500 out of it, because that is what I have into it.
I'm thinking about selling the R and keeping the Z for a kind of showpiece/racer (even though I probably won't race it much), keeping the SX for woods riding (the R definately isn't very good for that!), and keeping the X for a garage queen/yard cruiser.
What would you guys do? I hate to see any of the trikes go.. but I just can't afford them all..
The only reason I'm hesitant about selling the R is because it is faster than the Z (From what I have heard..), it has more HP than the Z, and it holds its value better than the Z.
I don't know.. give me opinions!! lol

My opinon, sell the SX. Then your 350x can be your trail, R can be al around, and Z can be the racer

Well I'm mildly attatched to the SX.. lol. I'd sell it if it came to it, yes. But I could get much more money for the R, and I really need money right now. Unless I could get $1800-2000 for that SX, it really wouldn't be worth it.
Not to mention the reason I was thinking about selling that R is because it needs a new front brake hose and lever, and the rear caliper doesn't work because it is missing one of the hex bolts. They are easy fixes, but it needs much more than the Z or SX do..
I mean I would love to keep all 3 of the sport trikes.. but I don't think I could get $1800 for the SX, could I?

Sell the R, you can ALWAYS find decent 250Rs for sale. Keep the SX for Trails, as it would be the hardest to make a profit on and the sentimental value is higher as well. Resto on the 350X. Whatever ya do, you'll be ok. You got a stable of fine machines to play with.

You can always find them for sale--on eBay, yes. But in my area, they are pretty well wiped out and hard to find..
When I am out of high school and through college and have a decent job in.. 10 years or so.. are there going to be any nice 250R's out there for a reasonable price? Thats my dilema and thats why I don't want to part with ANY of my trikes..

Don't judge the selling price by what you have spent on it. You'll barely ever get back the money you spent on it. I have over 4 large in my T3 and I'd be hard pressed to get 1500 for it around here.

Might add that the powervalved Z would kill that stock R.

Well I saw an R on eBay that was exactly like mine (even had the torn seat cover, no taillight, and crappy headlight!!) go for $1700. I figure that I could squeeze $2000 out of mine because it has the +2" swinger, brand new chain, brand new front sprocket, and if I include the stock plastics, swinger, rims, tires, and the brand new Shredder's that came with it.

Thats sort of what I am thinking. Have a 2 stroke sport bike, a 4 stroke sport bike, and a 4 stroke utility bike. A bike for all occasions..
It just sucks having to get rid of a trike!!!
Everyone out there knows what I'm talking about.
Oh well. If I can get $2000 or maybe a little less out of this R, I'll be satisfied.

what ever you do... keep the SX....

I'm kinda very partial to the SX for personal reasons.. but as said above.. why have both an R and a Z.. and no SX....

You need to keep a ride to initiate new trikers to... i don't know if you let your friends ride your trikes at all.. but if you do it would be better to have friends on an SX than a 2 stroke or even the X.. lol...

Get rid of the SX. They are not a racing trike anyway and have bogus suspension.

    I can't.. no matter how I cut it, I can't.
To get the SX, I used money that I saved up from Christmas and my birthday last year. To get the X, I used some of the money in my bank account, and to get the R, I took the rest of my money out of my bank account. I still have about $10,000 in bonds, stocks, and another bank account, but that is for college and I can't pull money from there. Hell.. I still have $3000 from the R and X to pay back into my bank account. If I keep the Z, that will make my debt $4000..
