    Inhibitor switch?

    ok i was looking at the wiring diagram for my 84 200es and im wondering, what is the inhibitor switch....i dont remember seeing this component ...i can account for all the others but not this......can someone tell what it is and where its located etc...

    Neutral Switch----It "INHIBITS " starter operation unless vehicle is in neutral--
    Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

    A customer walked in to my shop and Impatiently stated "My car doesnt start, Whats the problem?"I responded with a smile-"Yep that sounds like your problem alright"----

    in the diagram i have it shows the reverse and neutral switches also...and this seperate???

    I just pulled a 200es apart to put on Ebay so I can answer this, The reverse and neutral switches are on the motor by the H-L-R lever and the inhibitor switch is mounted in a rubber cover on the left side of the battery box. It is about 1" square and really is nothing more than a relay.
